CA Medical Association need volunteers
In an effort to ensure California physicians can continue to provide care to patients during the COVID-19 outbreak, the California Medical Association (CMA) is partnering with State of California Office of Emergency Services (OES) to provide free medical-grade personal protective equipment (PPE) – including N95 and surgical masks, gowns, gloves and face shields – to small and medium-sized medical practices across the state.
Volunteers are needed during the “drive-through” events to assist with a variety of tasks (checking in attendees, loading boxes into cars, managing traffic flow, and setting up the event). Loading boxes will require the ability to lift 45-pound boxes into cars. Volunteers will be in the sun, in potential extreme heat, on asphalt, so please dress accordingly.
Volunteers will be provided personal PPE during the event and all staff and volunteers will be adhering to strict COVID-19 safety protocols. Volunteers will be provided a t-shirt and safety vest at the event. Volunteers will be provided with food and water.
