In the environment of Corona Virus (COVID-19), we are hearing anecdotal reports that clinical placements are being threatened or directly impacted. The HWI team is communicating with the California Community College Chancellor’s Office and the California BRN, BVNPT and CDPH and other departments regarding its impact on nursing and allied health programs.
If you receive any notification concerning clinical placements for your programs being affected by the Corona Virus (COVID-19), please share with your Regional Directors as we are compiling the notifications to inform the state organizations.
It is requested that you work with your Education Consultants at each of your respective agencies for approval of any changes in programming. Please note, the changes approved by the CCCCO do not negate the need to seek approval from the state agencies for program approval.

It’s important to note that CEOs are making preparations and assessing local conditions while coordinating with the local health authorities. Decisions about campuses are made locally as appropriate in response to situations on the ground.
