Job Description

Orthopaedic (Orthopedic) technologists assist orthopaedic (orthopedic) surgeons in the care of sick and disabled persons. Orthopaedic (Orthopedic) technologists apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and braces as they work closely with the physicians and other support personnel. Orthopedic technologists also set up, adjust and maintain traction configurations, assist with the care of acutely injured patients and assist the physician in the reduction and/or manipulation of orthopaedic injuries.

Educational Programs/Qualifications

A career in Orthopaedic (Orthopedic) Technology requires 1 or 2 Year - Associate of Applied Science Degree from a college, vocational school, or technical school.
