The Worker Education and Resource Center (WERC) is pleased to share the Health Care Sector Profile, a report commissioned by the Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board. As the Board's Sector Intermediary during 2014-15, WERC conducted extensive research and compared it with current health care industry stakeholder intelligence. The objective was to inform the county's workforce development system about how best to upskill workers and connect jobseekers to quality career pathway programs, stable occupations, and high road employment as health care reform (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) and new federal workforce legislation (Workforce Opportunity and Innovation Act) were implemented.
